Holy smokes!  First off, I'm so thankful you all are here with me.  Not to be too mushy, but your support has been whelming.
Thank you, sincerely.

Now buckle up, this is a long one!

First, I hope everyone had a a great holiday season filled with the familiar faces ,things that matter most, and some reflection along with a little sprinkle of hope for the new year.
Blah blah yaadah yaadah.  :)

Mine was spent with a couple solid gigs combined with some much needed time away from the day job- spent with family and friends.   Also, I'm sorry for the lack of updates on here.   some unexpected news required attention be focused elsewhere.

I chose to pull up promoting this fundraiser after hearing about my cousin's son's condition. I'm so grateful he is still with us after surviving a near-fatal accident December 14th. I chose to do that for obvious reasons.  Efforts are underway now to raise money to assist with Tyler's medical care.  Please take a moment and read more about his journey below.

I'll also be performing for a benefit dinner in Prescott on Jan 24th.  All funds raised at the benefit will go directly to Tyler.  Check out the Facebook link for more details

As for this project, I've picked the ball back up and I'm running once more.  After speaking with my producer, my homework over the holidays consisted of contacting some players, and putting my songs in some sort of grading order.  This was pretty challenging to do.  I was never good at grading my own work.

The funds generated by this backerkit don't cover the cost of a full album, so I have to pick which tunes I want to focus on.  Which ones I think will serve me best, and connect with listeners the most.  I've got 9 tunes in the chamber and funds to cover 5, realistically.

Now, if we start recording in Texas and songs start laying down quick, we can keep going and it becomes a race against the clock before the meter runs out.  Either way, song selections will be made.  I'll be sure to share what I settle on.  Thankfully my producer is going to form his own list, to help provide additional perspective. I can't wait to see where this goes!

I also wanted to make a quick mention that these aren't solo acoustic recordings, but full band productions.  I'm working with several musicians who do this for a living, and whom I'm lucky enough to call my friends.  Some folks I talked to recently didn't realize that- so I just wanted to call that out.

I've got some video and photos I need to get uploaded, but that's only going to be available on the backers only feed.  It's some behind the scenes stuff I shot during the process of recording my initial scratch tracks.  A  peek behind the curtain into the wonderful world of two track scratch recordings!

In closing,  I know I'm a broken record here but I can't thank you all enough. Keep sharing this thing, and I know we'll get where we need to be.  You also have my commitment that I'll get better at this content stuff, I promise. Be good to each other this year, and hold on tight!

More updates to come.

Ready Set Go!

Howdy folks!  How's it going?
I have to admit, it's pretty surreal to be on this ride-that I've been talking about for years, and that it all came together the way it has so far.

Then there's you guys!
Coming out of the woodwork to support little old me and my crazy dreams.  It's all been amazing so far and I want you to know I don't take anyone for granted on this ride.  I'm just really excited that you're on board.

Even though we're only halfway funded, I've got a lot of work ahead and have been focused on lining up pre-production tasks for completion.

My manager told me to remind everyone that if I don't reach the full goal amount for the project, then any funds raised will be cancelled.  I told her that was kind of "downer" information to bring up, and I wanted to keep things light.  But...she does have a good point to call out that reality.  It's possible I may not have the funds to do this, even with all the support I've gotten thus far.  I'm going to continue moving forward- because I can't sit here and worry about that. I've got WORK to do!  I've got a few back up plans, but none of them come close to offering what this campaign can cover - So, tell your friends, tell your great 3rd cousin from your aunt Gertrude's side...I have no shame.

I've got one solo show this week in Hermiston, Oregon at The Midway. It's a bar that sometimes hosts music.  very cool little spot, and I've had a great time the last few times I've played there.  Owners are super cool too.  Anyhoo, show starts at 8pm so stop on by if you're in town.  I'd love to see you! Here's the FB event link.

For those of you who have made the decision to back this campaign financially, you'll be getting an additional update with some juicy details (ok-maybe not so juicy) but I will be sharing behind the scenes stuff.  Video, pics, stories, and live stream events.  You name it, we got it.

I can't say it enough - thank you for all of your support.  I'm going to make the best damn recordings I can.  Peace and love to you all this holiday season.
